Mahloromela Silas Seabi - Chairperson

Current study: MSc (Computer Science) – Ransomware detection

Responsibilities:

  • The head of the Association and acts as the spokesperson for the Association.
  • Lead the Postgraduate Association, focusing on postgraduate-specific issues, research opportunities, and funding.
  • Liaise with university management, external bodies, and the broader student community.
  • Chair PGA meetings and represent postgraduate students at university governance structures.
Andima Kula – Deputy Chairperson

  • BA Honours (Applied Drama and Theatre in Education, Communities and Social Context)
  • PGDA (in Dance in education, communities and social context)

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Chairperson and undertakes all duties necessary for the day-to-day administration of the Association during any absence of the Chairperson.
  • Oversee specific projects or initiatives as directed by the Chairperson.
  • During any period of absence of the Chairperson, becomes the acting Chairperson.
Shadrack Mothadi - Secretary

Current study: MSc (Civil & Environmental Engineering) – Reinforced concrete structures

Degrees Held:

  • BSc Honours (Civil Engineering)

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the contact point for the Association, collects incoming mail (where appropriate) and distributes it to the appropriate committee members.
  • Gives notice to all members of the Association, including notice of the meetings to the appropriate members of the Association.
  • Records minutes of all proceedings and resolutions of all meetings.
  • During any period of absence of the Treasurer, becomes the acting Treasurer.
Malaika Nandi Masinga – Treasurer

Degrees Held: 

  • BA Honours (International Relations)
  • BA (in International Relations and Anthropology)

Responsibilities:

  • The chief financial management oSicer for the Association and liaises with the Audit Committee and the Dean of 足球竞彩app排名s.
  • Deals with financial exclusions of postgraduate students.
  • Monitors the budget by keeping monthly statements of the account.
  • Represents the Association on committees, working groups or task teams that deal with financial policies of the University.
  • During any period of absence of the Secretary becomes the acting Secretary.
Ntebogeng Mothibe – Academic Representative

  • Implements the Association’s objectives to deal with academic and administrative issues related to research and coursework students and liaises with any research postgraduate student organisations or research institutions in and outside the University.
