Advocate Alan Nelson
Advocate Nelson SC is an accredited mediator with the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) and a former Acting Judge of the Western Cape High Court. With over four decades of legal experience, he was conferred Senior Counsel status in 1993 and has
lectured in law and mediation at the University of the Western Cape and UCT’s postgraduate programme. He is the founder of the Mediation Foundation for Peace and Justice and the Nelson Peace Centre, and serves on several national mediation panels. His work champions facilitative and transformative mediation as tools for justice and sustainable conflict resolution.
