The Wits Australian Board of Directors form an independent charitable committee that supports the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our members are committed to assisting Wits to build on its strengths as a great university justly admired for its globally competitive standards of excellence in learning, teaching, and research. The aim is to promote greater awareness of the enormous contribution Wits makes to society, to secure financial support for Wits, and to keep alumni in contact with their alma mater.
You can make a gift to the Australian Friends of Wits University Limited that supports student scholarships and bursaries, or towards the Wits Australian Public Health and Medical Research Foundation that supports medical research and health promotion. You can also request that your donation be for a specific purpose at Wits ensuring it falls within student support or health.
